Talking to private TV channel here on Monday, leader Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan stated that US itself has confirmed death of Osama Bin Laden then now it has no solid reason for living in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
He further said that Pakistani nation and Pak-Army rendered sacrifices in war against terrorism.

LAHORE - Sri Lanka Cricket officials not ready to tour Pakistan due to security concerns but they invited Pakistan to play series in Sri Lanka, it is reliably learnt.
According to a private TV channel, Sri Lanka's cricket officials on Monday reacted cautiously to an invitation to tour Pakistan. Sri Lanka will not tour Pakistan unless they get security clearance, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) secretary Nishantha Ranatunga said.
Earlier, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had asked Sri Lanka Cricket for their views on playing the scheduled series between the two sides in Pakistan, but Sri Lanka's stand, and a major terrorist attack on Sunday night at a Karachi military base very close to the National Stadium, have severely undermined any hopes of a tour in near future.
Sri Lanka have received several requests from the PCB over the past three or four month regarding a series in Pakistan but SLC is not agree to send Lankan team to Pakistan prior to security clearance, said Ranatunga.

KARACHI: A spokesman for Pakistan’s Navy said Monday that the PNS Mehran base in Karachi was back under control, 17 hours after militants attacked with guns, bombs and rockets.

In an ongoing operation at one of Pakistan’s main military bases, security forces are engaged in a battle against militants who stormed the base late Sunday night. At least 15 security officials have been killed in the operation that continues on Monday morning.

More than 10 terrorists late Sunday attacked the PNS Mehran base on Shahrah-e-Faisal Road, Karachi. At least 15 people, including Navy and Rangers personnel died in the attack.

ISLAMABAD: There are clear signs of the involvement of Ilyas Kashmiri group in the terrorism incident at the naval base, PNS Mehran, in Karachi, it was reliably learnt here on Monday.

“Astonishingly, it appears that some local elements have been exploited by the terror network to attack the most sensitive installation of the Pakistan Navy,” said a senior investigation officer, who had successfully traced as a member of the investigation team the culprits who were involved in a suicide attack on motorcade of the-then President General (R) Pervez Musharraf at Jhanda Chichi in Rawalpindi. “It appears the thinking of the past still exists within some important institutions of the country because some junior officials of the Pakistan Air Force were found involved in the attack on Gen (retd) Musharraf,” added the official requesting anonymity.

According to the official, Ilyas Kashmiri group has been playing an important role in planning attacks on Pakistan’s defence system and institutions. He pointed out that the Ilyas Kashmiri group has been behind the attacks on the General Headquarters (GHQ) and Parade Lane mosque in Rawalpindi as well as the ISI offices in different cities of Punjab and some other important places. “A close look at the latest Karachi terrorism incident and its modus operandi will help the investigators a lot in their work. We, however, cannot share all information with media because it may affect the investigation process and they may be unable to obtain the desired results,” the official said. The official said some flaws in the security apparatus of the Pakistan Navy have been noted and the terrorists appeared to have fully and effectively exploited such flaws. It has also been learnt that when the attack on PNS Mehran was launched, some foreigners were also present and one source also claimed that all of the foreigners were Americans. The spokesman for Pakistan Navy has, however, been denying this.
